Some time ago we presented you the two new instances added in Aion 4.7 update (check: [Aion 4.7] New instances ). Today we want to share with you more detailed info about eternal and mythical items you can get from Runatorium instance as rewards!

In Runatorim players can acquire eternal weapons, armours and hats. All of them can be upgrade to mythical versions. Also mythical accessories from this instance have very nice PvP stats. All itmes may have an additional random stats and have unique appearance.

Do you think that caring different scrolls allowing you to teleport to verious location is waste of your inventory space? Well, NCSoft thinks so too! That’s why in the latest small update (released at 24th June 2014), they added integrated teleport scrolls, which allows you to chose yours destination with one click!

Integrated teleport scrolls can be bought from General Merchants in specific cities. Theirs costs depends on taxes. Also they have race restrictions.

It seems K-Aion again got some fancy looking things.

In the current Starlight event (9th July – 30th July 2014) players can win new weapon skins. How to win them? There is a ranking of TOP 50 players who earned the most GP during the event, updated everyday. Top 50 players will receive boxes with new weapons.

Players gain Glory Points from monsters and PvP in Katalam (fort instances Glory Points are excluded). Also by taking part in Beritra’s Invasion, Agent’s fight and by doing Glory Points quests.

Update 4.7 introduced to Aion a whole new kind of world bosses along the event “beritra’s Invasion” (read more here: [Aion 4.7] Beritra’s Invasion). We can finally share with you information regarding rewards you can get if you participate in these boss fights and defend Atreia against Beritra’s army!

All rewards are connected to world boss level and difficulty. Players received Compensation Boxes regarding theirs score during the fight. Also depending on your box grade, chances to obtain better items are different. Rewards are for example: mythical grade items from end-game instances, eternal and fabled Beritra Supply items, manastones, indians, coins, item evolution materials.

Have you ever spent endless nights farming for your manastones only to fail and burn all of them on last slot? After nearly 6 years of Aion life, NCSoft Korea had heard players voices and made changes to manastone socketing system in latest update released at 20th of August 2014!

How manastone socketing system was changed?
From now on, if player fails to socket manastone it will destroy manastone ONLY in the slot player tried to socket, not all!!! So after the fail previous socketed manastones will stay!

After update

Previously manastone system could be tricky. On one hand you could be lucky and socket 6-slot item only with 6 manastones or spent houndreds on manastones and got nothing. With the latest update, the consumption of manastons would be reduced.

PowerBook Manastone Experiment
Korean developers even made official experiment to check how changes will effect socketing ratings. They used 1) rare manastones and socketed 6-slot Mythical weapon 100 times, 2) rare manastones and socketed 6-slot Eternal weapon 100 times, 3) composite manastones and socketed 6-slot Mythical weapon 100 times, 4) composite manastones and socketed 6-slot Eternal weapon 100 times.

Used items: Brave Steel Wall Fighter’s Aether Key, Holy Aether Key of the Guardian Special Unit, Manastone: Magic Boost +28 and Manastone: Magic Boost +27 / Magical Accuracy +7.

Results:
On the average you needed 17.26 to fully socket 6-slot items. Here there wasn’t any significant change in the success rate and you may still need to use the same amount of stones as before if you are unlucky. In some cases (marked red) you needed over 40 manastones to socket one slot, but in 29 cases (marked green) you was successful with less than 10 stones.

Aion Legions – new mobile game!

NCSoft Korea is invading mobile games world with big bum! Recently they reviled mobile games for two of theirs the biggest IP: Aion and Blade & Soul. That’s right!

Game will be called “Aion Legions” and will be mostly focused on PvP aspect between Elyos and Asmodians in 5vs5 PvP mode.

It’s not all! As you see from the video above players will have the possibility to encounter world and raid bosses known from Aion Online like Raksha. Raids are planned for up to 20 players.

Current technical specifications will require at least Galaxy S2 and high-speed internet due to NCSoft cloud system.

I bet, that many Aion players would like to have a glimpse of developing process of NCSoft’s game like Aion. Recently NCSoft Korea has released official video which allows players to have a small insight into developing of Aion’s newest update called “The New World”.

During the video we can see interview of several different development team such as music designers, designers of PC (players characters) and NPC graphics and much more!

The D-Day (première day) of new patch is 3rd of December 2014 on Korean live servers.

Recently, European Aion Team has released 2nd video in which they will answer players questions like future release plans for updates 4.7.1, 4.7.5, 4.8 as well as master server, balancing measures and server merges and more.

I’m happy to inform that today Aion NA has officially announced the release of the newest 4.8 patch (aka “expansion”) called “Upheaval”! In the following days and weeks more detailed information will be reviled on the official “Upheaval” page.

The Dragon Lord Beritra has continued to amass great power, and his assaults on Atreia have become more relentless and violent. Beritra has enacted large-scale invasions into the rest of Atreia from his hidden stronghold in Balaurea. But there is more to his strategy than just widespread destruction, as he searches for the ancient seals to unleash a power so great it threatens the lives of every living being in Atreia. And as his armies continue their advance, the landscape will be forever changed!

That will new patch bring? New zones (and some of them will be also removed due to the new storyline), new quests and gear! Prepare yourself Daevas and stand up against the Dragon Lord Beritra!
